Aizuto houses a Theological College and is the administrative headquarters of the Sumi Churches. A tourist resort has been established here. The house of Rev. Anderson (the first American Christian Missionary) has been converted into a heritage lodge with all the modern amenities, twin cottages, a cultural hall and a living museum. a library is also on the offing.
